Salzburgring

Plainfeld, Salzburg, Austria

The high-speed circuit near the festival city

The Salzburgring is a race track in Austria that was opened in 1969. It is located in the so-called Nesselgraben between Koppl and Plainfeld, not far from the Mozart city of Salzburg. Richly wooded all around and surrounded by extensive sheep pastures and rolling hills, the track is a true paradise for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. Unique are the natural grandstands, which offer a breathtaking view of the race track due to their location above it. The approx. 4.2 kilometre long Salzburgring with its 12 turns is a very fast and technically demanding track. Due to increasingly strict safety regulations for motor sport events, the circuit has been rebuilt several times over the years. Among other things, chicanes were added to reduce the sometimes extremely high speeds, as well as larger run-off zones. In addition to national and international motorsport events, the Salzburgring also regularly hosts concerts, club meetings and driving safety courses. Experience the charm of the track with your own car at the Pistenclub Trackday Salzburgring.
