Zandvoort is not only a popular destination for beach lovers, but especially for motor sport fans. The reason for this is the Circuit Park Zandvoort, a racetrack located directly at the North Sea, close to the Dutch municipality of the same name. Back in 1948, a first version of the course was opened. After several reconstruction measures, the circuit park has been in existence in its present form since 1999. Situated directly by the sea, the course beautifully makes his way through the dunes. Accordingly, some sand on the course is not a rarity, which constitutes the special flair of the route. The circuit is approximately 4.3 kilometers long and is characterized by many gradients and slopes. Furthermore, it is extremely spectator-friendly and many parts can be reached by foot. Under the name “Grand Prix of the Netherlands”, the Formula One took place here between 1952 and 1985, with only some interruptions. Since 2001, the racetrack has been part of the DTM calendar and it is also the venue for important race series such as the Touring Car World Championship and numerous Dutch championships. Enjoy this exceptional racetrack during a Pistenclub Trackday Zandvoort.
