Circuit Dijon-Prenois

The Circuit Dijon-Prenois is a French racetrack, located not far away from the town of Dijon which is well known for its mustard. It was opened on 26 May 1972 and originally had a length of approximately 3.3 kilometers. In 1975, the course was expanded by a new section to a length of around 3.8 kilometers. Undoubtedly the highlight of this new route is the "Parabolique", a bend to the right that has a gradient of up to 15 percent. Overall, the circuit of Dijon is characterized by its steep curves. While it was an F1 course between 1974 and 1984, the course is now used for various national championships as well as for test drives. On 11 October 2009, a DTM race took place in Dijon for the first time. Yet, organizers, spectators and drivers remember the circuit in particular because of the legendary duel between Gilles Villeneuve and René Arnoux in 1979. If you always wanted to drive your own car on a real racetrack, a Trackday Dijon with the Pistenclub is just the right thing.
