The Bilster Berg in Pömbsen, North Rhine-Westphalia, impressively demonstrates that it is not only historic racetracks that have a high attractiveness. The course is part of the Bilster Berg Drive Resort, a facility that was established solely for test drives, driving training and presentations. It was designed by the renowned architect Hermann Tilke and was officially opened in 2013. Since then it has become a popular spot for motor sport fans. The total length of the racetrack is 4.2 kilometers: it can be divided into a 1.8 kilometer long west loop and a 2.4 kilometer long east loop. As the course was embedded into the hilly terrain of a former ammunition depot, it has a total of 19 curves, 44 hills and dips, gradients and slopes of more than 20 percent, and a cumulative difference in altitude of more than 200 meters. As a result, the racetrack features more height differences than the Nürburgring Nordschleife – compared to its total length. The course in Pömbsen fulfills highest safety standards. Yet, this does not detract from the fun of driving. Since it is not open to the public, a Trackday Bilster Berg with the Pistenclub is a unique opportunity to drive your car on a unique racetrack while optimizing your driving technique.
