The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is an Italian racetrack situated northeast of Milan. Since the opening in 1922, it has been constantly adapted to meet the requirements of modern motor sports. Consequently, the run-off areas were expanded and some chicanes were reconstructed over the years. Since the introduction of the Formula 1 World Championship in 1950, Monza has been the permanent venue for the Italian Grand Prix, with the exception of the 1980 season when the race took place in Imola. Thanks to its many straight passages, it is the fastest course in the F1 calendar. For this reason, the course is often referred to as “Temple of Speed”. In addition to the Formula 1, the circuit – which has a length of approximately 5.8 kilometers – is often used as a test track for various Le Mans prototypes. During the Trackday Monza you can experience the fascination of the Italian classic with your own car.
